Hold your horses, Noobs
It seems some people believe I’m hoarding all the stickynotes they’ve sent in.
Fine…yes, I am! You see…
it’s my website and I’ll do what I wanna…
do what I wanna…
do what I wanna…
you’d do it too if it happened to you…(bum bum bum buuuuuh bum)
Anyways, the point is guest week starts this Friday. That’s just the way it is, baby.
Ew, weird song references.
Moving on. I got tagged in the Thinking Blogger Awards, which I had never even heard of up until yesterday. I still wouldn’t have known about it if I hadn’t seen a link to the Theatre coming in from an unknown (to me) blog. That blog is now known, and I appreciated the kind words, “I wish I would have thought of this.” I think those words to myself a lot about others’ creations, so that actually means more to me than the award.
Without further delay, here are my five picks. Congrats, and pass it on.
Cultural Snafu (Music Page) – this is one of the first pages to ever link back to my page. I appreciated the gesture, although I had a tough time understanding his native Canadian tongue at first. Once translated, I found the music page to be of particular interest as I love hearing about new bands from all ends of the earth.
the Rut – an (almost) daily…well, maybe weekly…comic. I know, I know, this is about blogs, not comics, blah blah blah. Well, too bad. Most of the blogs I read accompany comics…they are my main source of Internetainment. Excuse me now as I trademark that word.
Rawhyde’s Blog – a 1up member with more than games to discuss. Every morning, this is the guy that makes me spit my drink out..either from laughing or grossing out. Always a good way to start the day, and the way he always twists your mind makes it a perfect Thinking Blogger candidate.
Passive-Aggressive Notes – I don’t know how you’d classify this page, but it does make one think about all those snippy little notes you see hanging around the office.
Digipudding – I rarely, RARELY comment on other blogs, aside from a few regulars. This one, and this post in particular, makes me think every time I visit it. The money theme of this post struck a chord in me, because I struggle between my dislike of greed and commercialism and money matters in general, and the basic need of it in order to get by in this society. Also, I can’t help but laugh at those that have plenty of money strewn about, yet are so disconnected from reality. Thus, this comic, based on an earlier rendition posted elsewhere.
The Thinking Blogger Award participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).
